About Me

I was raised in Philadelphia, educated in Philadelphia, and committed to seeking justice in Philadelphia. I live one block from where I grew up and now serve as the democratic committee person in the 55th Ward 24th division. I attended Philadelphia public schools – Mayfair Elementary School and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School before entering Temple University. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Temple’s College of Liberal Arts with Honors while working two to three jobs to pay for college.

Years later, I earned my law degree (J.D.) and master’s in law degree (LL.M.) from Temple Law School, while working full-time in higher education. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked 30+ years in higher education, including senior roles at Temple Law School, Temple Medical School, Drexel University and Temple’s College of Science and Technology. After graduating from law school and passing the PA and NJ Bar Exams in 2003, I was engaged in pro bono law activities for a number of years while working full-time. In 2017, I left higher education and I devoted myself to law full-time and started my own law practice.

I was inspired to practice law so that I could directly help people and protect their rights. I have always been a fighter and wanted to fight against injustice, inequality and bias for my clients. I provide zealous representation for my clients and will do the same as a judge on the bench to uphold the rule of law. I believe my education and life experience, both in the law and in the world, give me the proper perspective to be a fair, just and compassionate judge.
